Experience winter actively

When the entire Zillertal is gently coated by a layer of glistening snow, it's not just the ski runs in the ski area that attract visitors. In winter, Gerlos offers many additional alternatives for your recreational activities!

Small but exquisite: this is the best way to describe tobogganing fun in Gerlos. The Krummbach toboggan run can be easily reached from your apartment. The start is at the Krummbach summit station, and from here the route extends over 1.5 km to the valley station. The toboggan run is also floodlit in the evenings.

To make it to the toboggan run on the Hainzenberg, you should plan for a 30-minute trip by car. In any case, the trip is rewarding, because awaiting you here is the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal! Over a length of 7 km, you can enjoy curves, steep slopes, and beautiful forest passages, and 2 inns invite you to stop for delicious refreshments. The toboggan run is floodlit at night.

Freeriding, ski tours, and winter hiking

The best way to explore the rugged and pristine nature of the Zillertal is on guided excursions - either as a winter hike, ski tour, or freeriding. Ski tours lead over steep alpine pastures and through gorgeous forests to the surrounding mountains such as the Schönbichl, Falschriedl, or Torhelm. At an altitude of almost 2,500 meters, you can look forward to not only breathtaking views but also the exciting, fast-paced ride back down into the valley! You can book such guided tours directly in Gerlos.

Around Gerlos, select hiking paths are just waiting to lead you through the romantic winter wonderland. How about a tour through the Schönachtal with a view of the glacier or an excursion into the Krummbachtal? There are so many possibilities!
